How Our Process Works
Before we start a refinishing job, we perform an in-home consultation to make sure we can deliver exactly what you’re looking for. The way we see it, refinishing should perfectly restore your floor– not just make it look a little better. We want to get the job done right.
During the actual refinishing process, our expert refinishers will completely sand down the top layer of your existing floor. About three sanding sessions are required, with progressively lighter grit paper each time. We begin with a coarse 30 -40 grit sandpaper to remove deeper scratches, transition to a 50-60 grit to smooth out and create an even surface, and finally, use a fine 80-100 grit to soften and soothe the floors. We then vacuum the floors with a soft attachment to give them a showroom quality look!
